Who bombed Pearl Harbor?
What you saw was the politically correct approach to the event so that it avoids stereotyping and racsism. Get updated, man!
It is still open season on teutonics, though.

Over the years I have enrolled in several organizations that bore a title in the form of Appraisers or Appraisal Coalition. They are now defunct and I still have on file some receipts and brochures from them. No need to ask how effective they were. Before joining one, ask specifically what they are doing with the membership funds and how they are actually reforming the system in favor of appraisers rights and equality. Appraisers are now in a lesser position as independent third parties than they were prior to licensing. No one dares to discuss that reality.

Change of subject only slightly...I have a tiny loan that just failed the "high cost test" with an investor because the borrower wanted to pay to buy down the interest rate. I was told that, because of that true discount fee to buy the rate down, I couldn't charge any origination fee therefore I was relegated to working for free. I thought (perhaps erroneously) that I could charge my origination fee AND the borrower could pay discount points if they wanted to buy the rate down. ANYONE? We ended up having to raise the rate and redisclose right when docs were supposed to be at escrow.

I think the Realtor from Georgia has the right idea! Where are all the lawyers and their class action lawsuits??? The problem is that us Realtors were seen as part of the problem and we all made too much money anyway. That is precisely how the banks and the government see it. We see this everyday in short sale negotiations, commissions are cut and title co's fees are cut. They just don't want us to make a decent living. If regular market forces were in effect commissions would go up not down. My business was decimated and my families lifestyle is changed forever, through no fault of my own! The banks should pay, but only in my dreams!

erickblackwelder you've got it all wrong, it wasn't the Germans who bombed Pearl Harbor it was the Duchy of Grand Fenwick. They did it to get foreign aide.

In your survey about extending the tax credit to September 30. One answer said "It's over".
Over. Did you say over? Nothing is over until WE decide it is. Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor.... Hell no! Let's go! High-Oh!

Frank - isn't that the same thing Brock Lesnar had? You're ready for UFC, baby!!! I still think your illness was brought on by the Black Helicopter Crowd. You know too much. REAL ESTATE NATE - Thank you for your positivity in this Blog Of The Negative. Some Realtor is Georgia wants big banks to pay him for lost income? How about all of the income you made on easy deals the last 10 years? GO MAKE CALLS - BE POSITIVE - we've survived worse than this.

US soccer IS great. We were just beat by a superior team on the day, there is no disgrace in that, but we are learning ALL the time and we WILL get better.Dont forget that the USA hold the CURRENT GOLD MEDAL for soccer in the Olympics(They beat England 1-0 in Brasil in the final in 1950(?))We had great games in S.Africa, played extremely well, but until soccer starts getting support and respect from the general populace we will probably not advance as fast as is possible.Additionally these players represented the USA on a WORLD stage and represented us well. That is a lot more than I have done in any sport,so until I can be better than them,I kinda cannot dis them,so give US soccer support, stop ridiculing the players and stop berating these players, support them.

In my opinion, the IRS will come back and make us re-disclose using the long form. After all, why would THEY waste a good crisis as well?

New GFE, HVCC, Tax Credit closing deadline extension/s... These are all examples of things we don't control. Our best bet, and something we can control, is to make 20 calls a day.

Frank take care of your colon, it's your friend. My brother almost died of diverticulitis. He lost 90 pounds before they figured out what was wrong with him. He had to have surgery.

CHANGE for the sake of CHANGE - the battle cry of the new admin! So HUD has been threatening lenders who use a closing cost worksheet as it circumvents the intent of the GFE and FHA says do cause people need to know. I'm soooooo confused! But I'm gonna keep on doing the worksheets cause I haven't found a person yet who is satisfied with the info on the GFE.
GaRealtor: (July 06, 2010 6:57am)
Why won't the Federal Government bail out the Realtors in this country like they are bailing out the big banks. The big banks should like BP, compensate the loss of income to all the Realtors they have put out of work.
GaryP: (July 06, 2010 6:00am)
TD Hawk: What? You mean the new and improved "simplified" GFE is going to end up being 4 pages long? Surely, the wise folks at HUD couldn't have been wrong about borrowers want to know about their loan. Let me add one more thing to page, a signature line!
FLappraiser: (July 06, 2010 5:20am)
My guess about the Realtor Russian Spies is that they as a group have a much higher code of ethics than just plain Realtors as a group.
TD Hawk: (July 06, 2010 5:18am)
Listen to me now and believe me later, how much you wanna bet the "new GFE" gets another page added showing what used to be on the old one, total payment and cash to close? This is our government in action. Instead of tweaking a thing or two on the former ONE page doc, they'll create anew one that's longer with NOT as much info, and all in the name of transparency. How's that oil spill clean-up and stimulus spending going? Lord help us.
