You have always been able to apply for HAMP if you were current. The new rules just mean they have to consider you for a mod if you are current. Make sure you check out the other qualification guidelines at makinghomeaffordable.gov we are seeing alot of rejections due to value of the home, original principle and amount of assets in reserves. But since lenders approve or deny based on which way the wind is blowing I recommend apply and apply again!

It looks like only one person really had some valid input on the "FED" Chair question. The "FED" is a banking cartel owned by the member banks. It's not a gov't agency; It operates with the sanction of congress. As Ben Bernanke agreed earlier in his career in a speech honoring Milton Friedman, the FED caused the great depression. They're the cause of the current recession/depression too. Dear TBWS: Regarding HVCC: I have contacted and met an Attorney who is approved in Federal Court, the California BAR, and is also a member of the New York BAR. This guy is an excellent fair and ethical attorney. During the meeting, he reviewed the law suit that was filed by NAMB, and said it was very poorly done. He is a Yale graduate who speaks many languages, and he has won a case for me personally in the past. (The city Settled with me Out of Court) After filling him on on the facts, he as agreed to work for us, not in court, but through lobbying firms, political connections, research into just how much money the Title Companies and the Banks have funneled to Cuomo. (If our attorney does need to do any court filings, again, he is a member of the New York state BAR, and is approved for any Federal Court as well.) He has agreed to a 60 day period to crack this HVCC nut at $300/hour, and he would need an initial retainer of $6,000. I do not have that money, but if Frank and Brian can

Here's an alternative to the current implementation of HVCC. Instead of putting all the scrutiny on the originator / appraiser, why don’t they establish hard and fast guidelines for appraisal review? If Dumbo …err Cuomo’s people could come up with a standardized procedure for appraisal review and require all loans to go through a review, then the onus will be on the bank / review relationship. Isn’t thisd where the whole problem originated in the first place?

Be careful of the Cumono 1 penny campaign, it too can have unintended consequences, by putting a spin on your actions, your name could be included on a list of Cumono campaign supporters, thus making it appear that a majority of Appraisers & others in the Industry are in total support. Concept is good, hit Cumomo in the pocketbook and have his "volunteer" people work on unproductive activities, but don't make any contributions, not even a penny. Send sympathy cards for the death of an industry which he is killing or get well cards for the Ethics that he pretends to be curing.

It's a game for them, see how low the appraiser will go. I just sent them an e-mail telling them to shove it up their collective arses and take me off their list. The banks were spoon fed trillions of taxpayer dollars at basically less than zero percent to get the economy moving and them making loans. They couldn't make 2 and 3% loans with the money they got from us??!! No. Their only concern is profit and keeping their scam going. I'd call that heartless. They jack up credit card rates to 30% for no reason, steal careers so they can get "mo money" by controlling the loan process and still aren't loaning. Why were they bailed out?!!! Now they're insisting on kickbacks on short sales - which is illegal. The banks response, our legal depts said it was ok. They got as big as they are through criminal activity and it's going to take more criminal activity to keep them that big. Don't kid yourselves, it's true. Realtors are next. Our taxpayer dollars are being used for bonuses and lobbyists that are passing legislation that is against our best interests. The world is revolving around the banks and their interests and that is not in our interests!!

Cuomo thinks he's too big to fail. He's raised a record amount of money (more than twice his opponent) from the banksters for his governor run. His tenure at HUD led many notable columnists to say that "HUD is being run as a criminal enterprise". And he has the audacity to ask appraisers for contributions??!! I'm guessing that meeting produced nothing? I wonder if you can write someone a check for "Negative 2 cents". I say he doesn't deserve the governorship & will never deserve it. He's a crook & a conman and I don't care how much money his crony's throw in, he doesn't deserve it & shouldn't be rewarded for his history of criminal activities in acting outside the law. How about this.....we all (119,000 petitioners) write checks for 1 cent. It will cost him money to have to process each check and since he has to account for every penny in the campaign no matter how small. It will take his staff a tremendous amount of time to go through all the paperwork involved. We also add a note saying we are helping you the same way you helped us.....

I too got an e-mail from Cuomo asking for $ for his campaign. It was because I e-mailed him via his website last year asking him to reconsider the HVCC, etc. Obviously they didn't read my original e-mail! I e-mailed back saying I could't afford to donate to his campaign because I'm an appraiser probably going out of business because of him and the HVCC. And what was their response? Yet ANOTHER e-mail a week later asking for $ again. Such a joke. What an idiot! :)
